The Historic Blairstown Theatre is pleased to present a rare one-off multimedia performance featuring the debut New Jersey screening of the critically acclaimed indie film, “Plan 9 From Syracuse,” and the band that provided its soundtrack, The Lost Patrol. After the film, there will be a short intermission, and then The Lost Patrol will take the stage.
"Plan 9 From Syracuse" is the story of Ryan Dacko, an indie filmmaker from Syracuse who took extreme measures to get noticed by a Hollywood insider. He bought a pair of running shoes, loaded up the support van and took a jog to California. Although his ultimate goal was never achieved, his determination and commitment to his art never wavered. As a result, we have this beautiful, gut-wrenching documentary about how far one will go to achieve their dreams. As you see this great nation through Ryan’s eyes, you will see and hear why he chose The Lost Patrol to supply the soundtrack to this film. Their ethereal, other-worldly, cinematic sound is a most befitting juxtaposition to America’s lost, lonely and forgotten landscapes.
